Making Waves (15)

Posted by Charlene // Tags: , ,

Making Waves is a weekly question feature created by the Waterwitch Babes (part of Susan Dennard's Truthwitch Street Team). Every Thursday, we’ll have a fun question that all are welcome to answer on their blog. The questions will be random and/or relate to the upcoming book Truthwitch by Susan Dennard. A linky is provided so that everyone can link up their post and participate in the fun!

To participate we do ask that you use the Making Waves banner in your post and link back to the Waterwitch Babes blog.

Question 15: #TruthwitchParty!

In a little over a week Truthwitch is released to the world!  It's kind of crazy for me to think that after all this time I've spent thinking and talking about this book, it's finally going to be out there!  And I so want everyone to love it - please love it! :D  Since it's nearing the end of our street team shenanigans, our final team project is to create some things for a Truthwitch Release Party.  I have a few ideas so let's start with the first - some temporary tattoos representing the elemental clans:

For a party, you should always dress up, so here's a Truthwitch pattern party hat that you can print out and enjoy.  (The template I found online, and just added the art in.)  It's decorated with elemental clan symbols, lighthouses, anchors and swords - all things that represent the novel.

And you can couple that hat with this T-shirt design I created, featuring the water clan symbol and a call to the witches... yeah witches.  You'll have to find a way to get it on a shirt yourself, but if you are curious to see how it looks, you can check it out on Susan Dennard herself! :D

Quizzes are always fun too, so here's another "Which Character Are You" quiz, featuring five character possibilities from the novel.  There is an official character quiz on the Truthwitch website - which you should check out at thewitchlands.com.  So this one is definitely more for the fun of it! (And tell me if you get the same character...)

Lastly, now that you are familiar a bit with the characters (or at least one), here is a quick guessing game to play where you can read quotes from the book, and try to guess which character said what.

And that's it!  Check out the hashtag #TruthwitchParty on twitter to see what great ideas the other Witchlanders come up with, and celebrate with us on January 5th when Truthwitch by Susan Dennard is finally released to the world!
