Suspense was a radio series from 1942 to 1962. I have a fondness for "Old Time Radio" as we call it now, and Suspense is my favorite show. It sets up weird, dark, scary, or intriguing stories with a plot twist in the end, and all in half an hour. For Suspense Sundays I'll give a short review of an episode. {My archive list of episodes}

Dianne is the stand-in for famous actress Maggie or Madame as she calls her. When Madame gets married to a man who is very unhappy playing second fiddle to his famous and glamorous wife, Dianne and Madame's husband Dennis fall in love and decide to get rid of Madame so they can get all her money. Will they get away with it?
It's a very clever plot to do away with Madame - so clever that they are unable to expose them except by a very silly circumstance. This episode has a great film noir feel to it though, because of the sordid situation the two leads get themselves into, and even though the resolution is a bit of a let down, Dianne as the cool and collected accomplice and the ingenuity of the plan makes this a great listen.
