Blogspiration (12) - Chance and Happiness

Posted by Charlene // Tags: , ,

Blogspiration is a weekly meme hosted by GrowingUpYA and Saz101. The meme was created to help spark inspiration among bloggers, readers and writers alike. An inspirational quote/picture/video is posted weekly, on the day of the author's choosing, so that it may inspire creativity, conversation or just a little SOMETHING.

Another bit of wisdom from Jane Eyre.   I believe it is up to us to be happy in the simplest sense.  We can make the decision to do what will bring us happiness.  Stretch out our hand for it, as it were.  And I've always liked why Mr. Rochester would say that to Jane - he wanted her to show some interest in him.  So devious, and so cute. :)

  3. I love this quote. I really hate myself for not wanting to read any of Jane Austen's works until now. This is such a lovely quote, I think I'm going to pick up Jane Eyre first. No, Pride and Prejudice. Oh, I'm just making things harder. Which one is your personal best from her?

    I'm a new follower!

    1. Oh definitely pick up Jane Eyre first! :D I think it is much better than Pride and Prejudice, though Jane Eyre is by Charlotte Bronte, not Jane Austen. :) From Jane Austen though.... I'm not sure I have a favorite book by her. I haven't read all of them, so I need to do that first. I've always enjoyed the most recent adaptation of Northanger Abbey the most out of all her book to film adaptations. If that counts...

Thanks for the follow! I've followed back!

  5. This is such an awesome quote! I do love the idea of happiness being just a little out of reach, that you just have to reach out to grab it. To decide to reach out and grab it. To choose to be happy. I love it! I know what my choice is :)
