Although my first Doctor Who review (for Beautiful Chaos) goes up tomorrow, I wanted to participate in Armchair BEA's giveaway topic today, so I'm opening up the book giveaway a little early.

Yay for Doctor Who books! This is a great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteAll thanks to the publisher and TLC book tours! I've really enjoyed the two books I've read so far (just have Players and Who-ology to read!)
DeleteMy favorite companion is Amy because she reminds me of myself. She even has my hair.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite companion is Amy too actually! I so wish I had red hair it's ridiculous. Totally jealous. :D
DeleteI think my favourite companion is Rose and Donna. I hated Donna at first but she grew on me and I was sad to see her go.
ReplyDeleteGreat choices! I love them both too. :) Thank you for commenting!
DeleteOh my god, when I saw this, I automatically thought this is the best book giveaway ever! Doctor Who books! How can it get any better than that?
ReplyDeleteLOL! I think reading these books eases the wait til the special in November!
DeleteI like Rose and Donna too. Actually I'm just a huge 10 fan so whoever he is with is fine with me.
ReplyDeleteHee, Rose and Donna are great! And "Beautiful Chaos" delves more into Donna's family, it's a great read!
DeleteI love Amy and Rory!
ReplyDeleteHee, me too! I'm happy there are many Pond lovers here! :) BTW, I just came across this yesterday - Michael Jayston interviewing Colin Baker and Jon Pertwee from a DW convention in 1995. So great! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gds08keYUiA
DeleteMy favorite is Amy!
ReplyDeleteYay! *high fives*! :D
DeleteMy favs are Amy & Rory - I can't separate them, I just love them both together as the Doctor's companions :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the awesome giveaway!
Even though I say Amy is my fave, I like the eps better when she and Rory are traveling with the Doctor - they have such a great dynamic!
DeleteThanks for commenting!
Exactly, that's why I love them so much ^_^
DeleteFrom the new series, my favorite companion is definitely Donna!
ReplyDeleteClassic-Who wise, I have to go Sarah Jane. And K9!
Maybe you would like "Beautiful Chaos" since it has Donna and the author does a great job of capturing her snark! And for Classic-Who, I don't think I have a clear favorite... maybe at the moment it would be Romana II. I do love Sarah Jane and K9 as well!
DeleteGreat giveaway!! I really liked Rose! :)
ReplyDeleteJoana @ Joana In The Sky With Books
Thank you! And Rose is awesome! :)
DeleteI haven't watched Doctor Who, but i'm interested in doing that sometime. Well, i saw the first ever episode but I want to try a different season, I heard Donna is a good companion.
ReplyDeleteOh it's fantastic! It has a little something for everyone I think, a little action adventure, romance, scifi, and it can be scary sometimes! I know a few friends who were turned off by the first season, but I told them to skip to the second and that got them hooked. :)
DeleteI loved every companion I've seen, but I'm gonna have to pick Rose. And Captain Jack (if he counts) :)
ReplyDeleteOoh Captain Jack definitely counts! He ranks pretty high on my list of faves. :)
DeleteEven though they seem to be over represented, my favorite companions are Amy and Rory. I loved their interactions and I liked how she wasn't a romantic option for The Doctor.
ReplyDeleteOoh is your middle name Jane? :) It's alright for Amy and Rory to be over represented in my opinion! I love that she wasn't a romantic option for the Doctor too, it gave her a happy (ish) ending with Rory.
DeleteOMF, I JUST SAW DOCTOR WHO AND I COMPLETELY FLIPPED. My favourite would be the mainstream of Rose, because Doomsday was just freaking horrible and I had snot running down my face. I LOVED Donna as well! :)
ReplyDeleteLeanne @ Escaping With Books
Hee, I'm glad to meet some book blogging Whovians! I know what you mean about Doomsday, I could not watch it again for awhile!
DeleteI havent seen the series yet but would love to see what the buzz is about. Thanks for hosting this giveaway! I'm your friendly ABEA cheerleader for tonight. see the books I awarded the Thanks for Changing My Life Awards on my ABEA post today. I look forward to chatting with you more throughout the week. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteHey Tanya! Thanks for stopping by! The series is awesome I hope you decide to try it out. :)
DeleteEasy -- Donna from the new series and K9 from the old series
ReplyDeleteBoth awesome choices of course! Thanks for commenting!
DeleteI know a lot of people have issues with her, but I do love Rose. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat they do? Probably cause they are jealous. :D
DeleteI really loved Rose (but that probably has a LOT to do with David Tenant)...but Amy was also fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the amazing giveaway!

Hee, I totally understand! Thanks for commenting!
DeleteRose! Rose! Rose!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
Tallulah A. @ MAD Hoydenish
Oh I posted a comment but it's gone!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard for me to pick an absolute favourite companion, they're all fantastic in their own way. I think Donna might be the most fun though - she's also the most 'normal'. The others are all super intelligent, or super skilled, or seem to have had their entire lives entwined around the Doctor - whereas Donna is just a normal woman, who happens to come across this man.
I'd definitely pick Beautiful Chaos, as I haven't read any of the Donna novels yet =)
Oh thanks for visiting again! You left your comment on the review of Beautiful Chaos http://bookishwhimsy.blogspot.com/2013/05/review-doctor-who-beautiful-chaos.html :)
DeleteOh silly me! xD
DeleteMy favorite is Amy! Thank you for the amazing giveaway :)
ReplyDeleteI love Doctor Who!
Thank you for stopping by! Lovely to meet a fellow Whovian!
DeleteRose is my favourite closely followed by Clara!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway :)
Ooh first vote for the Impossible Girl! :D I'm glad she's continuing on after Matt's run (it seems like?) I look forward to seeing more of her!
DeleteThanks so much for the giveaway. My favorite companion is Rose, who just has such an infectious energy that I can't help but smile when I see episodes with her in them! :) (Then again, I really loved Christopher Eccleston as the 9th Doctor as well and not a lot of people do) For the books I would want 'Festival of Death' the most because it sounds like a kick-butt story and my brother would want to steal it from me, cause Tom Baker is his Doctor all the way!!! LOL :)
ReplyDeleteI definitely understand liking Rose's energy and heart! I think Festival of Death is the best book of the three actually - very inventive and complex. And I love Tom Baker too!
DeleteMy favourite companion was Rose Tyler, the world's favourite chav :-)
ReplyDeleteMy kids used to tease me about me liking her and all but it was worth it...
LOL, well she's cool, so your kids probably just wanted to be her. :D
DeleteI first started with Amy and Rory so...I have to say them! I am all new to Doctor Who but I have to say it is one of my favorite shows now and I have been watching much too much of it lately. But...you cant watch to much of The Doctor can you? I dont think so. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you are fan too! I agree, it's impossible to watch too much Doctor Who! There should be a channel devoted to it.
DeleteYeheeey! I'm in this tour too! :) So exciting!
ReplyDeleteIt is! This is probably the most excited I've been to participate in a tour! :D

ReplyDeleteThanks for the awesome giveaway! My favorite companion is Rose!
ReplyDeleteThank you for commenting! Rose certainly is awesome. :D
DeleteThankyou for awesome giveaway, the who-ology looks amazing. My favourite companion might actually be Rory (although it's very hard to choose), such brilliant comic timing from Arthur Darvill
ReplyDeleteMy favourite companion is Rose. She had great chemistry with both the Ninth and Tenth Doctors.
